Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow!!

It's December and it's snowing!!! Yay!!! Finally. I was wondering how long it would be before we saw some. I love the warm weather but I really wanted to see some white stuff on the ground.

So, since it's snowing...I think my Let it Snow card is perfectly suited for this time of year! I also realized that since it's December, I should probably start posting some Holiday items to share. I can't believe I have not posted anything yet. What a bad blogger I am :(

 Anyhoo....this card was using the Big on Christmas stamp set (#116578 p.40). This set has always been a favourite of mine, and I think it always will be :) I coloured the letters and the snowman in with my Stampin' write markers and using my 2-way glue pen I just dabbed a bit of glue on the top of the letters and then the whole snowman face. I then poured some Dazzling Diamonds Stampin' Glitter over top to give it some sparkle! Here's a close up so you can see, since the picture above doesn't really show it much.

Sesame Street Friends!

Well, now this has to be a record for me....3 posts in one week? Wow!

Today I want to share this card I made for my nephew who just had his 3rd birthday last month. I've seen these Sesame Street punch art characters from many other crafters out there and as soon as I saw it, I just had to make them!!! Is this not the cutest ever??? Everything was made using punches (except for the Happy Birthday sentiment of course).

Upsy Daisy Thank You

I'm posting this a lot later than I had planned for! Back in September, my husband and I participated in a bike-a-thon in honour of my cousin's twin daughter who passed away at only 5 months old due to kidney disease. All funds benefited the Hospital for Sick Kids Foundation where she was treated with the utmost care and love. She will be missed forever.

My husband and I alone were able to raise over $1,000 for the event, and in order to help show our appreciation to all of those who donated to this event, I made a thank you card using the Upsy Daisy Stamp Set (#111710) and the "Thanks" sentiment was using the Thank You Kindly Set (#111700). MDS Scrapbook Page of Roxy!

Well, I've been playing around with MDS (My Digital Studio) and let me tell you....I could spend a lot of hours playing with this thing! A great feature this program has is all the pre-designed templates you can use without even having to add all the embellishments, etc...so if your creative juices aren't flowing or you just want to create something in a flash, the pre-designed templates are PERFECT!

So, speaking of pre-designed templates....here's a 12x12 scrapbook page using one of the pages from the pre-designed photo albums. I just made a few slight changes to it - it's a photo of my puppy Roxy :) She recently turned one, and as you can see in the photo, she looooves the sunshine!

I'll be sure to post some more MDS projects soon - I also have a ton of other stuff I need to post too. Unfortunately, I just need to find some time to dedicate to uploading the photos. I'm just lazy like that!

My New Toy!!!

This is a quick post today just to let you know that I am super excited to play with my latest and greatest toy from Stampin' Up! It's MY DIGITAL STUDIO!!!!

I received it a few days ago, but today is the first chance I have had to open it up and get it installed on my computer. I can't wait to show you some creations I come up with!!

Breast Cancer Awareness Cards

On October 4th, I ran in the CIBC Run for the Cure - it was my first ever 5K run and I'm so proud of myself for setting the goal and accomplishing it! Now...let's see if I'll ever make it to 10K :)

Just prior to the event I had a mini Scrap-Pink fundraiser evening, and although it was a small turn out it was still fun! Here is a card we made:

The card base is Melon Mambo, and the flowers were stamped in Melon Mambo & Baja Breeze (retired In-Colour) using the Fifth Avenue Floral stamp set.  This is such a beautiful stamp set. The sentiment is from the Upsy Daisy stamp set, and was punched out using the Large Oval punch and matted on a piece using the Scallop Circle punch. Put some Melon Mambo Polka Dot ribbon, and VIOLA!

After the Run for the Cure, I thought it would be nice to send out some Thank you cards (of course). Here is what I made using the Ribbon of Hope stamp (on the last page of the catalog), and Melon Mambo as the colour again because it's Pink of course!
